Our Carpentry and Joinery Project equips young men and women with the hands-on skills they need to transform their lives and communities. Through practical training, mentorship, and real-world experience, participants learn to craft quality furniture, repair homes, and launch their own workshops. This project not only creates pathways to meaningful employment but also inspires self-reliance, confidence, and the ability to build a better future—one skill and one masterpiece at a time.
Skills Training & Hands-On Workshops
We provide practical carpentry and joinery training where youth learn essential skills such as measuring, cutting, designing, assembling, and finishing furniture. These sessions equip participants with the technical competence needed to produce high-quality products and become employable or self-reliant artisans.
Production of Furniture & Household Items
Participants apply their skills by producing furniture such as chairs, tables, beds, cabinets, and door frames. These high-quality items are sold to generate income for the trainees and the project, ensuring sustainability while giving youth real experience in craftsmanship and quality production.
Apprenticeship & Mentorship Placement
We link trainees with experienced carpenters and local workshops for apprenticeships and mentorship. This gives them exposure to real client projects, business operations, pricing, customer service, and work discipline, helping them transition smoothly into the job market or start their own workshops.
Business & Entrepreneurship Support
Trainees receive guidance on costing, record-keeping, marketing, customer relations, and managing their own carpentry businesses. This support helps them turn their skills into income-generating enterprises, promoting long-term independence and sustainability.
